Over the last ten years, I’ve spent time travelling around the world through mining regions, local markets, cutting workshops, and trading towns, building relationships and learning directly from the people who work within the industry every day.
Designed primarily for gemstone enthusiasts, collectors, jewellery lovers and curious travellers. The experience can also be tailored for aspiring professionals seeking first-hand understanding of the gemstone trade.
I’ll be hosting a limited number of private gemstone experiences from November 2026 to early April 2027. November and December dates are available, alongside selected dates from January to April.

Where possible, yes. Mine visits depend on factors such as weather, mining activity, local availability and access permissions. Because every experience is bespoke, opportunities are discussed when planning your itinerary.
Can I buy gemstones during the experience?
Yes, if you wish. There is absolutely no obligation to buy. If you do decide to purchase gemstones, I’ll help you understand quality, ask the right questions and buy with greater confidence. If buying is the main purpose of your visit, my private buying support in Sri Lanka may be the more suitable service.
What’s included?

How much does it cost?
Private Gemstone Experiences start from £1,950 for the 3-day Origin Experience.
The final price depends on the duration of the experience, number of guests and any particularly bespoke requirements. Your total price will always be confirmed before you book.
Can I stay with you during my visit?
Where availability permits, yes. Guests may be invited to stay with me at my Sri Lankan residence at no additional charge as my personal guests. Staying with me is completely optional. Practical accommodation details are provided privately as part of your booking arrangements.
When is the best time to visit Sri Lanka?
I host private gemstone experiences from mid-November to April. November and December are well suited to markets, workshops, private trader meetings and exploring Sri Lanka’s gemstone culture. January to April generally offers drier conditions for field activities. Mine access always depends on weather, activity and local permission, so each experience is planned around the best opportunities available during your stay.
How do I book?
Every experience begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss your interests, preferred dates and what you hope to gain from your time in Sri Lanka. If the experience feels right for you, I’ll send you the booking information and next steps.
A 30% initial booking payment secures your dates, with the remaining balance due eight weeks before arrival.
Why isn’t there a fixed itinerary?
Because the gemstone trade doesn’t operate to a timetable. Markets change daily, miners move between sites and the most valuable opportunities often arise through trusted relationships and local knowledge. Rather than following a rigid schedule, every experience is designed to make the most of what’s happening during your visit.
