I am a British-trained gemmologist, currently based in Sri Lanka, offering professional gemstone concierge services for clients who want expert guidance, ethical awareness, and informed decision-making when buying gemstones.

 

Sri Lanka is one of the world’s most important gemstone origins, yet its markets are complex, highly localised, and often misunderstood. Without specialist knowledge, it is easy to make expensive mistakes — even when buying with the best intentions.

 

My role is to guide, advise, and support clients through this process with clarity, confidence, and integrity. I work with private buyers, collectors, and jewellers who value expert insight over sales pressure, and who want to understand what they are buying — not simply be sold to.

Kim provided us with a wealth of information and insight about gems in Sri Lanka. Not only the gems themselves but the process from the mining to how the market there works. We would not have had the experience in meeting a highly reputable merchant who provided us with locally mined stones of high quality that we hope will be heirlooms for generations to come.
