Service Description
This is the first step in working together. In this focused consultation, we define exactly what you are looking for and the best way to approach the search, whether you are sourcing a specific gemstone, commissioning jewellery, or planning a gemstone purchase while travelling. We will cover: ✔ Your gemstone requirements, preferences and intended use ✔ Your budget and priorities ✔ Where and how the stone may best be sourced ✔ Treatment, certification or origin preferences where relevant ✔ Timescales and travel plans, if applicable ✔ The level of sourcing support most appropriate for you You will leave with a clear, personalised sourcing brief and my independent recommendation for the next step. If you decide to proceed with my Gemstone Sourcing Service, I will explain the appropriate sourcing stage and what happens next. Duration: 1 hour Format: Online Fee: £125, payable at the time of booking
Cancellation Policy
Each appointment is reserved specifically for you, and preparation may be carried out before the consultation. Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking. Your appointment is not confirmed until payment has been received. Consultation Format: This consultation takes place online by video call. Joining details will be provided after booking. Please have any relevant gemstone requirements, photographs, certificates, reports or other information available if these will help us discuss your sourcing needs. Rescheduling: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule. One change of appointment may be made without charge, subject to availability. Cancellations: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the appointment may be refunded or rescheduled, at your choice. Cancellations made within 24–48 hours may be rescheduled once but are not refundable. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment, or failure to attend without notice, are non-refundable. Late Arrival: The consultation will still finish at the originally scheduled time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting me, the appointment may be treated as missed. Technical Issues: Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and can access the agreed video-call platform. If a technical problem occurs on my side and prevents the consultation from taking place, the appointment will be rescheduled without additional charge. Scope of Advice: The consultation provides independent professional guidance based on the information available. It is not a formal valuation, laboratory report or definitive gemmological identification. Right to Refuse Service: Gemstone Detective reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking where a request falls outside the scope of the service or where conduct is abusive or inappropriate.
